This was my first time here. We went on a Sunday morning. The parking could be a little tricky if you come on a weekday. The parking lot is pretty small and the surrounding businesses have specific parking for their business only.
My kids and I all ordered something different. My youngest had the kids 2 pancakes and bacon. The pancakes were the best I've eaten in a long while and were a good size! I left wishing I'd gotten my own order of pancakes.
My oldest got the blueberry pancakes and sausage. He said the pancakes were good and devoured them all. The sausage he said was just ok.
I ordered chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs, grits and toast. All of which were just meh. Nothing spectacular or to brag about.
The atmosphere was that of an old diner or truck stop. The waitstaff was excellent: very attentive and personable.
Our food ended up averaging about $8/person without drinks.
All in all I'd come back just for the pancakes. -

The decor is charming. This feels like an old school diner (because it is). The wait staff are polite and attractive and fairly attentive. Unfortunately, that's where the positive reviews end. I did not taste or see any food that was not the lowest-cost crap the owners could buy off a Sysco truck. Shockingly bad pancakes. Instant grits. Syrup so sweet with HFCS your teeth ache -and if you want to bail on crappy syrup and just use jam on your flapjacks, enjoy what I assume is prison-grade "mixed fruit" no-name jelly.
I wanted to love this place. I could not and I feel sick for having eaten that horrible breakfast.
-oh, and I spent almost $20 for just me. Not quite the the quality of Waffle House at a 40% premium. CRIMINAL. -

I'm sure this place has been a local favorite for years. The question is why. Why do people (including myself) pay this much for watery, flavorless food? Why did I feel awkward being served by a barely legal girl wearing short shorts? Once years ago a young GIRL bent over in my face with her shirt unbuttoned right in front of my wife. Certainly its more than coincidence that all the waitstaff is young, pretty, and caucasian. It just makes me feel uncomfortable. Why did the local yokels support this place?
The service sucks too -

I have come here for both breakfast and lunch and now I'm ready to write my review.
This place has about the most down-home feel that you will get in a restaurant. The difference here is that it is genuine and not formulated like a lot of restaurants that try to give you a down-home feel. The cooking is down home to which makes this a true local favorite. If you leave hungry from here it is your own fault!
My favorite breakfast item is the build your own omelette. It is a large 3 egg omelette and you get to choose from a huge variety of items that they can add to it. Add to that the sides that you can choose to come along with it and you will be stuffed for your day.
For lunch I have tried their burgers and their chicken fried steak. Both were really good but I'd have to say I prefer the chicken fried steak which does seem to be one of their standards.
Be sure to save room for dessert for they have a variety of homemade pies and cakes. -

Amazing breakfast for a great price
Feels like there is someones grandma in the back of the kitchen making all of the great food
